Types of Awards
The Foundation Trust offers two types of regional small gifts.
New England organizations: Small gifts to support specific fundraising events or other time-sensitive contributions (e.g., sponsorship for a theater playbill) for nonprofit or municipal programs whose missions align with one or more of our priority tracks. Gifts range from $100 to $500.
Regional organizations may send requests for event-specific donations or other time-specific support at any time. All such requests should be sent via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Preference will be given to organizations located or providing services within one or more of our geographical catchment areas.
Greater Boston organizations: Small gifts to support routine operating expenses for nonprofit and municipal programs whose missions align with one or more of our priority tracks. Gifts range from $500 to $1,000.
Requests of this nature will be considered once per year during our annual grant review cycle. Interested applicant should submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) by email. Applicants should indicate that they are requesting a small gift versus a full grant award; this will expedite the overall review and application process. While some preference will be given to organizations located within or serving one or more of our geographical catchment communities for a given year, Greater Boston organizations from other communities are eligible to apply.
